1 Killed in San Marcos Crash on Deer Springs Road near Mesa Rock Road
San Marcos, California – One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident that happened in San Marcos on Thursday morning.
The accident happened on Deer Springs Road near Mesa Rock Road at around 5:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A BMW 330ci was traveling eastbound on Deer Springs Road when it crossed over the solid double yellow line and collided head-on with a Toyota Tacoma driven by a 61-year-old man.
The 23-year-old man driving the BMW was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the Toyota was hospitalized with major injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
