Los Angeles, California – A 57-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian accident that happened on Saturday night in Santa Clarita.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened on Highway 14 south of the Sand Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A freightliner was traveling in the northbound lanes of the freeway when it struck a pedestrian who was standing on the right shoulder next to a parked car. Authorities believe there may have been additional vehicle involved in the crash.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
