1 Killed in Santa Cruz Motorcycle Crash on Highway 1 at Dimeo Lane
Santa Cruz, California – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car in Santa Cruz on Saturday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol says the accident happened at around 2:05 p.m. on southbound Highway 1 at Dimeo Lane.
The officers who responded to the incident found a rider down on the right-hand shoulder of the roadway after colliding with a white truck. Authorities say the truck cut off the bike as it was coming off Dimeo Lane and the rider struck the back side of the truck.
Firefighters performed CPR on the rider who sadly succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
