Santa Rosa, California – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Santa Rosa on Tuesday morning.
The auto-pedestrian accident happened at around 7 a.m. on the westbound College Avenue near Orchard Street, according to Santa Rosa police.
A silver Chevrolet truck reportedly struck a pedestrian on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
The female pedestrian was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the Chevy, a 21-year-old Sonoma County resident, stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the authorities.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
