Spring Valley, California – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on Sunday morning in the Spring Valley area of San Diego.
The fatal collision was reported around 5:11 a.m. on Sweetwater Road near Blossom Lane, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The unidentified pedestrian was in the southbound lanes of Sweetwater Road and was struck by a car. Police say the victim may have been struck by multiple vehicles while in the lanes.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are still searching for some of the vehicles that fled the scene before the arrival of the emergency personnel.
