Los Angeles, California – A pedestrian died after being hit by a car in the Sun Valley area of Los Angeles on Monday evening.
The collision happened on the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway near the Tuxford Street exit at 6:31 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A vehicle is reported to have struck a pedestrian in unclear circumstances.
The unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The vehicle that hit the pedestrian drove away from the scene and was yet to be located.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
