Ventura County, California – A man died after being struck being hit by a car in Ventura County on Sunday night.
The accident happened at around 9:48 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 just north of Seaward Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A pedestrian was walking in the area and was struck by a Ford Ranger in the area in unclear circumstances.
The pedestrian was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
