Visalia, California (November 1, 2023) – A man was killed in a high-speed crash in Tulare on Tuesday night.
The fatal crash happened on Highway 216 at Beechwood Avenue at around 7 p.m., according to the Fresno Communication Center.
A man was driving a 1999 Ford southbound on Highway 216 at a high rate of speed and was struck by a northbound 2001 Toyota that was making a turn onto Beechwood Avenue.
The impact of the crash caused the Ford to roll over several times, ejecting the driver.
The unidentified driver of the Ford was transported to Kaweah Health Medical Center where he died while receiving treatment.
An infant in the Ford was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Toyota and a passenger were unhurt.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
