1 Killed in Westwood Car Crash on South Sepulveda Boulevard

Los Angeles, California: One person died, and three others were seriously injured in a traffic collision that happened Saturday evening in Westwood.

Los Angeles police and firefighters responded to the 1500 block of South Sepulveda Boulevard after receiving reports of a crash just before 6 p.m.

At least two cars collided under unclear circumstances.

Two people were trapped inside each of the cars.

The victims were freed and rushed to the hospital in grave condition. Another person was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Authorities said one person died from their injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital.

Two good Samaritans who tried to help the trapped parties before emergency personnel arrived suffered minor injuries but declined transportation.
