Whitewater, California – One person is dead following a head-on collision that happened in Whitewater on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 2:41 p.m. on Indian Canyon Drive at Highway 62.
Two vehicles reportedly collided head-on in unclear circumstances. Two people were trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated.
One person was killed in the crash.
The name of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
