Williams, California – One person was killed in a car accident that happened on Friday morning in Williams.
The accident was reported on Highway 20 near King Road and Fruit Stand at around 6:06 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A GMC utility truck reportedly collided with a tanker truck hauling diesel. The impact of the collision sent the utility truck off the roadway and down an embankment, where it overturned and caught fire.
CHP says one person was killed in the accident.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
