1 Killed in Winchester Car Crash on Highway 79 near Scott Road
Winchester, California – One person is dead and several others were hospitalized following a head-on collision that happened on Sunday evening in Winchesters.
The deadly crash was reported at around 5:10 p.m. on Highway 79 near the convergence of Scott Road and Washington Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Two vehicles reportedly collided head-on in unclear circumstances.
The firefighters responded to the incident and pronounced one person dead at the accident scene.

The name of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed, pending notification of the next of kin.
Two people suffered moderate injuries in the accident and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities say two people suffered minor injuries in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
