1 Killed in Wrong-Way Crash at Victory Boulevard and Columbus Avenue in Van Nuys
Van Nuys, California – One person was killed in a collision involving a wrong-way driver on Sunday night in Van Nuys.
The fatal crash happened at around 11 p.m. at Victory Boulevard and Columbus Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A suspected drunk driver was driving a car eastbound in the westbound lanes and collided head-on with another car.
The driver of the second car was killed in the accident.
The driver of the first vehicle and his passenger were taken to a local hospital to be treated. The driver, believed to be in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
