1 Killed, Multiple Injured in Crash on 10 Freeway in Jefferson Park

Los Angeles, California: One person died, and six others were injured in a traffic collision that happened early Sunday morning in Jefferson Park.

According to the California Highway Patrol, authorities responded to the eastbound 10 Freeway at Arlington Avenue around 3:30 a.m. after they were notified about a single-car collision. Soon after the first crash, several other vehicles collided at the scene, causing a big pile-up of damaged cars.

One person got trapped inside their vehicle and died at the scene.

Six others were taken to the hospital with varying extent of injuries.

All eastbound lanes of 10 Freeway were shut down for several hours following the accident. The lanes were reopened just before 6:30 a.m.
