1 Killed, Several Injured in Multi-Car Accident on 15 Freeway

Victorville, California: One person died, and several others were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision that happened Sunday afternoon in Victorville, the California Highway Patrol said.

The pileup was reported at around 3:30 p.m. on the southbound 15 Freeway south of Dale Evans Parkway off-ramp.

Victorville City police, firefighters, and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.

The responders found a white Ford Maverick pickup truck, a black Toyota Corolla, a red SUV, and a dark blue Porsche SUV involved in the collision.

Authorities said one person died in the accident.

A witness said a pregnant woman was extricated from the SUV and rushed to the hospital by ambulance.

Two adults from the truck were also taken to hospitals by ground ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

The male driver of the sedan was unhurt.

An investigation to establish the cause of the collision is ongoing.
