1 of 2 Killed in Sylmar Pedestrian Crash Identified
Sylmar, California: The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the man who died in a double fatal Sylmar pedestrian crash as 38-year-old Paul Sanchez.
The identity of a woman who also died in the accident was being withheld pending family notification.
The accident happened around 7:55 p.m. Thursday on Foothill Boulevard near Astoria Street.
Sanchez was pushing the woman in a wheelchair when they were hit by a vehicle heading east on Foothill.
Sanchez died at the scene, and the woman died while receiving treatment at a hospital.
The 35-year-old driver involved remained at the scene.
