1 Person Dies in Diamond Springs Crash on SR-60
Diamond Springs, California: One person was killed in a car collision that happened Wednesday morning on State Route 60 in Diamond Springs.
The wreck occurred around 8:43 a.m. near the Golden Springs Drive off-ramp.
Two vehicles collided, and one of them overturned, trapping a male party underneath.
The other vehicle was facing sideways, blocking the HOV lane.
Authorities said the victim who was pinned under the car died in the crash.
It was unclear if any other person was injured.
The southbound lanes of the highway were closed during the investigation.
