1 Seriously Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 4 in Holt
San Joaquin County, California: One person sustained major injuries in a head-on accident that happened Tuesday afternoon near Holt, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported around 4:15 p.m. on Highway 4 near Bacon Island Road.
Authorities said a pickup truck was heading westbound on the highway when the driver lost control, side-swiped a Honda car, and collided head-on with a Toyota car.
The driver of the Honda was hospitalized with major injuries.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the accident.
