Sacramento, California – A rider was seriously injured after being ejected from a motorcycle following a crash that happened on Saturday afternoon in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol says the accident happened on northbound Highway 99 near the eastbound 50 Freeway connector at around 2:21 p.m.
A motorcycle and a car collided on the roadway for unknown reasons.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and was taken to the hospital for treatment of major injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
