Whitewater, California: One person was severely hurt in a semi-truck accident that took place early Friday morning on Interstate 10 in Whitewater.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred at about 3:28 a.m. in the westbound lanes near Whitewater Cutoff.
A Toyota Sequoia collided with a big rig for an unknown reason.
The driver of the car suffered major injuries in the crash.
CHP officers did not immediately establish the cause of the collision.
