Kings County, California – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a major traffic collision early Sunday morning near Hanford, Kings County.
The incident occurred at about 4:00 a.m. on Highway 43 near Grangeville Boulevard.
Police said a sedan and a gas tanker collided for unknown reasons. The tanker went off the roadway following the crash.
The sedan driver sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
Officials requested a hazmat crew to sweep fluid and remove the tankers from the accident site.
The incident remains under investigation.
