1-Year-Old Hit and Killed by DUI Suspect Pulling into Driveway in Lynnwood
Lynnwood, Washington: A one-year-old child died after being struck by a DUI suspect Tuesday evening in the 13900 block of Beverly Park Road in the Picnic Point area.
According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, a one-year-old child was playing in the front yard at the block with two other siblings and their parent when a roommate, a 45-year-old man, arriving home to the residence, pulled into the driveway and hit the child.
Emergency personnel arrived and provided aid to the child. The child was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for vehicular homicide. His blood was tested and authorities said he was impaired by a depressant and marijuana at the time of the crash. His bail was set at $500,000.
