10 Hurt after Motorcycle Officer Crashes into Crowd at California Parade

Palm Springs, California: Ten people, including a motorcycle officer, were hospitalized after the officer crashed into a crowd at a holiday parade in Palm Springs.

Police said the incident occurred just after 6 p.m. at the Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade.

An officer reportedly lost control of his motorcycle while attempting a trick and went down. The bike slid into the crowd of spectators, injuring 9 of them.

The officer severed his hand in the crash.

All ten patients were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
