Jameson Doyle Dies in Sanger Pedestrian Accident on Bethel and Cherry Avenues
10-Year-Old Boy Hit and Killed by Truck near Sanger Park
Sanger, California: Authorities identified 10-year-old Jameson Doyle as the victim of a deadly pedestrian accident that happened Thursday evening outside Rotary Ball Park in Sanger.
Police said the accident took place around 7 p.m. on Bethel and Cherry avenues.
Doyle was at baseball practice when he walked into the street and got hit by a truck. He fell onto the roadway and was unresponsive but breathing.
He was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, where he later died.
Doyle was a fifth grader at Quail Lakes Environmental Elementary School and was a month away from celebrating his 11th birthday.
The truck driver, an 18-year-old boy is cooperating with investigators.
