Fresno, California: Eleven students were sent to the hospital after they were struck by a truck driven by a teen driver Wednesday afternoon just outside of Roosevelt High School.

According to Fresno police, the accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. near Tulare and Cedar avenues.

Authorities said a 16-year-old boy was speeding in a truck when he crashed into FAX bus stop where twenty students were waiting.

Eleven of the students were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. At least one victim suffered a possible broken leg, and another sustained back injury.

Police said after the crash, the teen driver pulled over and ran from the truck with his 14-year-old sister. A family member picked up the teens and left the area.
