13 Students, Man Hospitalized After School Bus Crash in Grant County
Mattawa, Washington: Thirteen children and one man were hospitalized after a school bus collided with a pickup truck Monday near Mattawa.
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, a Wahluke School bus was traveling south on Road O when a pickup truck going west on Road 27 failed to yield, and t-boned the bus, causing it to roll over onto its side and slide down the street.
11-13 students on the bus suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The man driving the pickup truck sustained serious injuries. All patients were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities said there was fog in the area during the collision but did not confirm if it was a contributing factor.
