19-Year-Old Bombay Beach Killed in Imperial County Accident on Highway 111 near Frink Road
Imperial County, California – According to a California Highway Patrol report, a teenager from Bombay Beach sustained fatal injuries following a head-on collision on Monday evening in Imperial County.
The collision occurred at around 6:10 p.m. on Highway 111 near Frink Road on November 4.
Per the dispatch, 19-year-old Bombay Beach man was driving a 1996 Chrysler Town and Country minivan southbound on Highway 111 when he swerved across the dirt center median and crashed head-on into an approaching Freightliner truck tractor.
The minivan driver, was killed in the collision.
An investigation is ongoing.
