2 Children Suffer Major Injuries in DUI Crash on Highway 152 in Merced County
Merced County, California: Two children and two women were injured in a DUI accident that happened Monday evening in Merced County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Highway 152 near Lodi Road.
Investigators said a 25-year-old woman was driving a Camry west on the highway with two kids as her passengers. The woman attempted to pass a Nissan but ended up striking it from behind.
Both drivers lost control of their vehicles and crashed.
The kids in the Camry sustained major injuries. Authorities said they were not wearing seat belts.
The woman driving the Nissan sustained minor injuries.
The 25-year-old woman driving the Camry also suffered minor injuries. She was arrested for driving while impaired.
