Two Drivers Killed, Passenger Hospitalized After Alleged Wrong-Way Collision on Highway 101 in San Francisco
2 Die, 1 Injured in Highway 101 Crash in San Francisco
San Francisco, California: Two people died, and another was hospitalized after a head-on collision that happened early Sunday morning in San Francisco.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a driver was allegedly driving the wrong way on Highway 101 when, around 3 a.m., the car collided with another vehicle south of Silver Avenue.
Officers said a silver Nissan Altima was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when it collided with a silver Honda Civic.
Both drivers died at the scene.
A passenger of the Honda was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with major injuries.
Investigators are looking into whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the accident.
