Chula Vista, California: Two drivers died in a wrong-way collision that happened early Wednesday morning on Interstate 5 in Chula Vista.
Authorities received calls about a car traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of I-5 near Palomar Street around 3:20 a.m.
The wrong-way car, a red Honda Civic, collided with a dark sports vehicle moments later.
The sports car caught fire and became fully engulfed.
The wrong-way driver, a woman, and the driver of the sports car died in the accident.
Southbound I-5 was closed following the collision.
