2 Hurt After Car Crashes into Moreno Valley Home

Moreno Valley, California: Two people were hospitalized after a car went off the roadway and crashed into a home early Friday morning in Moreno Valley, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.

The incident happened at around 1 a.m. at Windjammer Drive and Kitching Street.

Sheriff’s deputies said a driver was traveling southbound on Kitching when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the car, veered to the east across northbound lanes, and into the front of a nearby single-story residence.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported an occupant of the home and the driver to Riverside University Health System Medical Center. The victims sustained unknown injuries.

Drugs, alcohol, or reckless driving were not considered contributing factors.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
