2 Injured after Long Beach Accident at Spring Street and Charlemagne Avenue
Long Beach, California – A man and a woman were injured in a motorcycle accident that occurred in Long Beach on Sunday night.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the accident happened around 7:40 p.m., at Spring Street and Charlemagne Avenue.
The man and the woman were riding a motorcycle behind a sedan when the driver of the car made a left turn from westbound Charlemagne Avenue onto eastbound Spring Street, directly in front of them.
The man sustained severe injuries and was rushed to hospital where he underwent surgery, police said.
The woman was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the car was not injured and remained at the scene.
Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is underway.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Kenneth Joseph McLeod Killed in Irvine Motorcycle Accident
Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Woman Hospitalized After Victorville Pedestrian Accident at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road
Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
