2 Injured After Pursuit Ends in Fiery South Los Angeles Crash

Los Angeles, California: Two people were hospitalized after a short police pursuit that ended in a crash early Monday morning in South Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the crash happened at around 12:20 a.m. in the 300 block of East Slauson Avenue.

LAPD officers were pursuing a suspected stolen vehicle when, in just a minute, a crash occurred.

A third car that was not part of the chase caught fire after the collision.

Two people in the car that was hit were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The report said no officer was injured.

The driver of the suspected stolen vehicle was arrested at the scene.

The collision forced the closure of Slauson Avenue in both directions during an investigation.
