Bakersfield, California – Two people were injured in a car crash early Thursday morning in Bakersfield.
The accident happened around 1:55 a.m. on Highway 43 between Sullivan Road and Kratzmeyer Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 41-year-old woman was driving a car when she drifted into the southbound lanes and collided with a semi-truck.
The woman suffered severe injuries in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The 36-year-old man driving the semi-truck suffered minor injuries.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
