Bakersfield, California – Two people were hospitalized with major injuries after a collision involving a bus on Monday morning in Bakersfield.
CHP says the collision occurred on Interstate 5 near Lebec Road at around 6:53 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A passenger car and a bus reportedly collided on the freeway, with the impact sending the car off the roadway where it crashed into a guardrail and a bridge pillar.
The male driver of the car and a female passenger suffered severe injuries and were airlifted to the hospital for treatment.
Four people inside the bus had complaints of pain.
