Driver, Passenger Hospitalized After Car Disabled on Highway 525 Hit by Another in Lynwood

2 Injured in Lynwood Crash on Highway 525

Lynwood, Washington: A driver and a passenger were hospitalized after their car was disabled in traffic lanes on Highway 525 in Lynwood and got hit by another vehicle, officials said.

The victims were in a Lexus LS that got disabled, blocking two northbound lanes of the highway on the overpass above Highway 99.

The 25-year-old driver from Arlington got out and stood outside the car while a 21-year-old passenger from Marysville remained inside.

Authorities said an oncoming 2011 Nissan Pathfinder hit both the Lexus and its driver.

The Lexus driver and passenger were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with unspecified injuries.

The 58-year-old Pathfinder driver from Mukilteo was not hurt.

Police said both cars were totaled.

Authorities are investigating the accident.
