2 Injured in Ocean Beach Motorcycle Accident on Voltaire Street

Ocean Beach, California – Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident that happened on Tuesday evening in Ocean Beach.

The accident happened around 4:36 p.m. on 5100 Voltaire Street, according to the San Diego Police Department.

A 42-year-old man was riding a 2024 BMW motorcycle when he rear-ended a 2016 Honda CRV stopped at the stop sign on Bacon Street. The motorcycle caught fire after the collision.

The rider was severely burned in the accident.

A female passenger on the motorcycle was ejected and suffered an open pelvic fracture and a large laceration to her scalp.

The driver of the car complained of pain in his back.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
