2 Injured in Traffic Collision on I-880 in Oakland
Oakland, California: Two people were hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Monday night on a freeway in Oakland, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported around 9:11 p.m. on the northbound Interstate 880, just south of the High Street off-ramp.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision.
Oakland firefighters responded to the scene.
One person suffered major injuries, including a deformed leg and other internal injuries. Another person complained of pain to the head and chest. Both patients were transported to Highland Hospital for treatment.
CHP officers are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
