2 Killed, 1 Injured in T-Bone Crash at 73rd Ave and Holly St in Oakland

Oakland, California: Two people died, and another was hospitalized after a collision that happened Sunday morning at an intersection in Oakland.

The wreck was reported around 10 a.m. at 73rd Avenue and Holly Street.

Authorities said a white Lexus was traveling southbound on 73rd when it turned left onto Holly and got broadsided by a black Lexus going northbound on 73rd.

The white Lexus rolled and stopped several inches from a nearby home.

The driver of the black Lexus exited the vehicle and fled the scene.

The 64-year-old Richmond man driving the white Lexus and his front passenger, a 67-year-old Antioch woman, died from injuries sustained in the crash.

A 48-year-old Richmond man who occupied the back seat was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

Police later found and arrested the driver of the black Lexus, an Oakland resident nearby. The authorities also determined that the black Lexus was stolen.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
