2 Drivers Die, 2 Passengers Hospitalized After Traffic Collision on Highway 26 in Warm Springs
2 Killed, 2 Injured in Warm Springs Car Crash
Warm Springs, Oregon: Two drivers died, and two passengers were hospitalized after two vehicles collided head-on Saturday afternoon on Highway 26 in Warm Springs.
Warm Springs Fire and Safety personnel responded to the scene near milepost 78 after the collision happened at around 3:20 p.m.
The responders found a van towing a trailer involved in a crash with a Subaru.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
One passenger was airlifted by a LifeFlight helicopter to OHSU in Portland and another passenger was taken by Warm Springs Fire ambulance to St. Charles Madras, accompanied by a second uninjured passenger.
Authorities did not immediately establish the cause of the accident which left the highway closed for about four hours.
