Two People Die, Two Others Hospitalized After Bay Bridge Crash in San Francisco
2 Killed, 2 Seriously Injured in 2-Vehicle Collision on Bay Bridge
San Francisco, California: Two people died in a traffic collision that happened Thursday morning on the Bay Bridge, the California Highway Patrol said.
Two vehicles collided on the lower deck of the Bay Bridge just before Treasure Island, causing traffic to snarl heading out of San Francisco on eastbound Interstate 80.
The crash involved a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a Mini Cooper. Reportedly, the Mini stopped on the bridge before the pickup slammed into it from behind.
The Mini Cooper was occupied by three people. Two died at the scene.
The third occupant and the driver of the pickup were hospitalized with major injuries.
