2 Killed, 3 Hurt After Police Chase Ends in Collision in Ceres

Ceres, California: Two people died, and three others were seriously injured when a police pursuit ended in a collision Thursday night in Ceres.

The accident happened when Ceres Police Department officers were pursuing a 2016 Ford sedan on Keyes Road.

The car was occupied by the driver, a 20-year-old man, and three passengers.

The sedan entered the intersection and hit the right side of a 2016 Ford coupe driven southbound on Geer Road by 17-year-old Joshua Guillen.

The driver of the sedan, and a 20-year-old passenger, were not wearing their seatbelts and got ejected from the car. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two passengers, 24-year-old Alexander Rincoln and 18-year-old Jesus Vega were both taken to the hospital with major injuries. They occupied the back seat of the sedan.

Guillen was also hospitalized with major injuries.

The report did not mention why the sedan was being pursued.
