2 Killed in Head-On Collision on Geer Road in Turlock
Turlock, California: Two people died in a head-on collision that happened Saturday afternoon in Turlock, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported around 4 p.m. on Geer Road south of Grayson Road.
Investigators said a 25-year-old Turlock woman was driving a 2013 Lexus southbound on Geer Road when she veered across the double yellow lines into the northbound lane.
The woman collided head-on with a 36-year-old Modesto man driving a 1996 Toyota.
Both drivers were killed in the accident. Police said both motorists were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
Investigators believe alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
