2 Killed in Head-On Crash on State Route 179 in Sedona
Sedona, Arizona: Two people died, and another was injured in a head-on collision that happened early Sunday morning near Sedona, the Arizona Department of Public Safety reported.
The wreck occurred just before 12:30 a.m. on State Route 179 near milepost 301.
DPS said a vehicle was going northbound when it drifted into the opposing lane and collided head-on with a southbound car.
Both drivers were killed in the accident.
A passenger in the southbound car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators believe impairment contributed to the collision.
