Calaveras County, California – Two drivers were killed in a Monday morning head-on collision in Modesto.
The California Highway Patrol says the fatal collision happened on Highway 4, just west of Dunton Road at around 6:30 a.m.
A sports car driven by a 21-year-old Stockton woman drifted across the centerline for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a pickup truck driven by a 51-year-old Copperopolis man.
Both drivers were killed in the accident. Their names were not immediately disclosed.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
