2 Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision in Canoga Park Identified

Canoga Park, California: Authorities identified the man and woman killed in a three-vehicle collision Sunday morning in Canoga Park as 24-year-old Pedro Montelongo and 23-year-old Kimberly Ayala Rodriguez, both from Los Angeles.

The crash happened around 12:45 a.m. in the 7600 block of North Topanga Canyon Boulevard.

Montelongo and Rodriguez got trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters responded to the scene, extricated the pair, and pronounced them dead.

Four other victims were injured. Two were hospitalized in critical condition, and two suffered minor injuries.

Authorities did not immediately establish the cause of the collision.
