Santa Maria, California – Two people died in a wrong-way crash that happened on Saturday night in Santa Maria.
The fatal crash happened on Highway 101 near the North Broadway interchange at around 11:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A vehicle was traveling the wrong way when it collided with another car. Both vehicles were smoking after the crash with heavy extrication required to remove some of the victims.
Two people were killed in the accident.
