Man and Woman Killed, Toddler Injured in Merced County Crash on Highway 152 at Turner Island Road

2 Killed in Semi-Truck Accident on Highway 152 in Merced County

Merced County, California: Two people died, and a toddler was injured in a semi-truck collision that took place late Monday night in Merced County.

The accident was reported around 11:50 p.m. on Highway 152 at Tuner Island Road, between Los Banos and Dos Palos.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Kia occupied by a man, a woman, and a 1-year-old infant was heading south on Turner Island Road when the driver failed to stop at Highway 152 and drove into the path of a semi-truck traveling west on the highway.

The vehicles collided, ending up in the center median.

The man and woman in the Kia died in the crash. They were Dos Palos residents.

The toddler was taken to Valley Children’s Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

Authorities closed Highway 152 as they investigated the collision.
