2 Killed in Tacoma Car Crash on State Route 512
Tacoma, Washington – Two people were killed in a head-on collision that happened in Tacoma on Sunday morning.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the fatal collision occurred around 2:16 a.m. on State Route 512 near Canyon Road.
A suspected DUI driver was driving a car the wrong way when he collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
Police say two people in a vehicle were killed in the crash.
Another person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
An infant inside the wrong-way driver’s car was unhurt.
The wrong-way driver was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and vehicular homicide.
The accident remains under investigation.
