2 People Injured in Crashes on State Route 14 in Mojave
Mojave, California: Two people were injured in two separate collisions that happened Monday evening in Mojave, the California Highway Patrol said.
Authorities said around 8:09 p.m., a Volvo tractor-trailer truck was blown over in the wind and overturned onto its side on State Route 14 near the LADWP Beacon Solar Plant.
The big rig was left blocking the roadway with its trailer disconnected.
A few minutes later, another semi-truck collided with a Dodge Ram pickup truck in the same area.
The driver of the pickup truck got pinned inside the vehicle with injuries.
The driver of one of the big rigs suffered a head wound and bleeding.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and took the victims to the hospital for treatment.
CHP officers are investigating the collision.
